Internet Colorado began building an extensive wireless internet network in 1998. It was intended to provide a fast, safe alternative to dial up for residents where no other options existed. Our expansive network now covers a vast majority of the Gunnison valley, Crested Butte, Mt. Crested Butte and Crested Butte South. The main transmitter is located at the top of Tenderfoot (W) mountain. All that is necessary to receive this service is line of sight to either the main transmitter or the various relay points across the valley.
